Dear Whiskydiary

A little disclaimer beforehand: All pictures in this article are copyrighted by The Macallan!

As you might have heard and/or read, The Macallan presented their new distillery after three years of construction. As you can see in the picture, they tried to implement the Scottish landscape into the distillery – or vice versa 🙂

From July on, the visitor centre will be open to the public and it also looks fabulous!

Here some facts about the new distillery and the visitor centre: They invested 140 million pounds and created 60 new workplaces. Also, the construction of the roof is one of the most sophisticated on this planet. It’s made of 1.800 individual logs and contains around 380.000 parts!

There will be some new bottlings available in Austria and of course, I’ll be checking them out, as soon as I get my hands on some samples!
